Chandigarh: Shiva took a hat-trick in the hockey tournament
Chandigarh: Shivam scored a hat-trick to guide Punjab University Hockey Club to a 3-0 win over Government Model High School, Sector 42, in the ongoing Chandigarh State Sub-Junior (Boys & Girls) Hockey Championship at the Sector 42 Sports Complex. Shivam scored the first goal in the sixth minute, followed by more goals in the 47th and 51st minutes to guide his team to an easy win.
Chandigarh Hockey Academy (CHA) (Red) defeated CHA (Blue) 2-0. Rajit Singh scored two penalty corner goals for the winning team. In the girls’ category, Punjab University Hockey Club registered a 7-0 win over Chandigarh Hockey Academy, Sector 18, while Government Model High School, Sector 42 registered a 5-0 win over Sri Guru Gobind Singh Senior Secondary School, Sector 35.
