Changes in service of 4 trains on Chennai-Tirupati route, amendment will be applicable till 6th September

Tamil Nadu Tamil Nadu: Temporary changes have been made in the services of a total of four trains including Chennai Central–Tirupati MEMU train. This change will be in effect from June to September 6. According to the information released by Chennai Railway Division, this decision has been taken due to track maintenance and repair works, so that the safety and quality of operation of the railway track can be improved. During this period, there will be changes in the routes and operations of many trains, due to which passengers may have to face some inconvenience.

According to the Railways, the most significant change has been made in the service of Chennai Central–Tirupati MEMU train. This train will not reach its scheduled destination completely during this period. Apart from this, MEMU train running between Arakkonam and Tirupati at 9:15 am will now operate only up to Tiruchenur. Due to this change, passengers traveling till Tirupati may have to use alternative modes for onward journey.

Chennai Railway Division has clarified that track maintenance work is part of the regular process, which is carried out from time to time to ensure the safety and strength of the railway network. For this reason, temporary changes have been made in the operation of some trains. According to officials, a target has been set to complete this work within the stipulated time limit, so that after September, all services can be restored as normal.

During this period, the railway administration is taking special care of the convenience of the passengers. Information boards are being installed at stations and updates are being given to passengers through frequent announcements. Apart from this, information related to train timings and routes is also being made available to the passengers through the official website of Railways and helpline services. Railways has appealed to the passengers to check the status of the train before travelling, so that any kind of problem can be avoided.

This change will especially impact passengers traveling daily between Chennai, Arakkonam and Tirupati. Many people who depend on MEMU trains for daily commute may have to change their travel plans during this period. However, Railways says that this step has been taken with the aim of ensuring the safety of passengers and better service in future.

Railway officials also said that after the completion of the repair work, the services of all trains will be normalized and passengers will continue to get the same facilities as before. This temporary change is being considered an important step towards strengthening the railway infrastructure.

Overall, this change in service of four trains on the Chennai Central–Tirupati route has been made for technical and safety reasons, with an aim to provide a safer and smoother travel experience to passengers in the long run.
