Charge sheet filed against 7 accused in ISIS terrorist module case
Mumbai: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has filed a chargesheet against seven ISIS members accused of being involved in a conspiracy to carry out terror attacks in different parts of the country, an official said on Sunday.
The chargesheet was filed against him before the NIA special court here under various sections of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, Explosive Substances Act, Arms Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC) in the Pune-based ISIS module case. a spokesman for the federal agency said.
The officer, in the charge sheet, identified the accused as “Mohammed Imran-Mohammad Yusuf Khan alias ‘Matka’ alias ‘Aamir Abdul Hameed Khan’ and Mohammad Yunus-Mohammad Yakub Saki alias ‘Adil’ alias ‘Adil Salim Khan’ of Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh. The spokesperson said, the accused were involved in collecting and mobilizing funds with the intention of furthering terrorism and violence related activities for the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS).
The officer said it was found that the accused organized terrorist training camps, provided shelter to known and wanted terrorists and worked for the preparation of manufacturing of improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
“Besides, IEDs, firearms and ammunition were also found with them,” the spokesperson said. He said that they had conspired to further the terrorist activities of ISIS with the intention of creating terror and intimidation among the people. Security, integrity and sovereignty of India.

“The accused were found to be collecting funds from sources both in India and abroad to finance their terrorist designs and plans,” the spokesperson said.
The case was initially registered on July 19, under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), Arms Act and Maharashtra Police Act, 1951. Subsequently, on August 30, the NIA took over the case for a thorough investigation.
The eighth accused in the case, Mohammad Shahnawaz Alam, was arrested on November 2 for his alleged active participation in promoting terrorist activities of a designated foreign terrorist organisation.
