Charred body of a man found inside a burnt auto-rickshaw in Thrissur

Thrissur: Carbonized remains of a man, who is yet to be identified, were found inside an auto-rickshaw that was completely destroyed in a fire at Peringavu here on Saturday. Don’t know how the auto rickshaw caught fire.

At around 2 pm, residents of Gandhi Nagar street saw that the autorickshaw was on fire. The attackers immediately reached the spot. After extinguishing the fire, officers found a completely carbonized body in the back seat of the vehicle.

According to the police, the vehicle that was set on fire was a newly registered GNC auto-rickshaw which was traveling on the Peringavu route. Investigation is ongoing. More details are expected.
