Chef’s dead body found, sensation spread around the underbridge drain

Durg. Sensation has spread in the area after the body of a youth was found in the drain near Sector 7 underbridge in Bhilai. It is suspected that the body was thrown after murder. The police have sent the body for postmortem and started investigating the case. The entire case is of Bhilai Nagar police station area.

People passing through the underbridge saw the body and informed the Bhilai Nagar police. After this, a police team along with 112 reached the spot. The body was sent to the mortuary for postmortem after preparing a Panchnama. The deceased has been identified as Surjeet (36), a resident of Kolkata. He used to work as a chef while living in Bhilai.

Initial investigation has revealed deep injury marks on the head of the deceased. The police have registered a case and started investigation. The postmortem report will reveal the cause of death. The family members of the deceased have also been informed.
