Chhattisgarh: Water filling in reservoirs increased
Durg: The district has been receiving good rainfall for the last one week. Water filling is increasing in all the reservoirs of the district. The 110-year-old medium project Khapri reservoir is 100 percent filled. Due to less rainfall in the catchment area of Mongra Barrage, there is currently 5.50 feet of water flow above Mahamara Anicut in the Shivnath river. The water level of Shivnath river is increasing since evening. Currently, 4 thousand cusecs of water is coming to Mongra Barrage.

Pandey, Executive Engineer of Tandula Water Resources Division, at present, Tandula reservoir is 68 percent filled, Kharkhara reservoir is 70 percent, Khapri reservoir is 100 percent and Gondli reservoir is 36 percent filled. If such rainfall continues, the reservoir filling will increase further.
