Chhattisgarh’s economy will be strengthened by prosperity in the agricultural sector
Raipur. Fulfilling the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Krishak Unnati Yojana is being operated to strengthen the economic condition of the farmers in Chhattisgarh. This scheme is basically targeted and announced for the welfare of the farmers of Chhattisgarh. Through this scheme, paddy is being purchased from the farmers at a fair price. This will strengthen food security and will give strength to self-reliance in agriculture. Encouraging farmers to use advanced agricultural machinery and invest in new agricultural techniques will increase the quantity of production and improve the quality. The use of advanced agricultural machinery will save time and human labor spent in agricultural work.
As per the decision taken by the Cabinet of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Krishak Unnati Yojana has been implemented from Kharif year 2023-24. According to the proposal regarding the implementation of Krishak Unnati Yojana, on the basis of paddy purchase in Kharif year 2023, input amount is being provided to the farmers at the rate of Rs 19 thousand 257 per acre. Mrs. Sukali Bai of village Edka of Narayanpur district located in remote forest area of Chhattisgarh and Mr. Jailal of village Bakulwahi got the benefit of Krishak Unnati Yojana. Along with purchasing 21 quintals of paddy per acre from the farmers in the state as per its promise, the amount of outstanding bonus of two years of paddy is also being paid.
The Chhattisgarh government is constantly striving to improve the condition of farming and farmers in the state. Only with prosperity in the field of agriculture will the economy of Chhattisgarh be strengthened and the dream of making a developed state will be realized. Jailal, under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, produced paddy crop on a total area of 5.23 acres by registering on the Integrated Farmers Portal in the year 2023-24 and sold a total of 64 quintals of paddy at the procurement center Edka, for which a total amount of Rs 1 lakh 39 thousand 712 was received at the minimum support price of Rs 2183 per quintal issued by the Government of India. Under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, a total of Rs. 1 lakh 714 thousand was received extra at the rate of Rs. 19257 per acre. Thus, a total of Rs. 2 lakh 40 thousand 426 was received in their account. Similarly, Mrs. Sukali Bai produced paddy crop in 6 acres and sold a total of 126 quintals of paddy at the paddy procurement center Edka, for which a total amount of Rs. 2 lakh 75 thousand 58 was received at the rate of Rs. 2183 per quintal issued by the Government of India. Under the Krishak Unnati Yojana, a total of Rs. 1 lakh 15 thousand 542 was received extra at the rate of Rs. 19257 per acre. Thus, a total of Rs. 3 lakh 90 thousand 600 was received in their account. Jailal and Sukali say that this amount being paid to farmers on the basis of per quintal paddy is the highest in the country. They used the said amount for their household work, children’s education, health and agricultural work and family needs.
