Chichola police action on illegal liquor sale
Rajnandgaon: Under the anti-drug campaign being run in the district by Superintendent of Police Abhishek Meena, under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Mr. Lakhan Patle and Sub-Divisional Officer of Police Mr. Prabhat Patel, patrolling by Chichola police under the guidance of outpost in-charge Umesh Baghel on date – 07.09.2023. During patrolling, on the information of informer, near Reach Dhaba village Jhandatlab, near police post Chichola, accused Vikas Jain, father late Ramesh Jain, age – 32 years, Sakin Rich Dhaba village, Jhandatlab OP Chichola district, Rajnandgaon (Chhattisgarh), was caught selling liquor illegally. 18 pauas of country plain liquor were seized from the possession of the accused. Each paua contained 180-180 ml. Total quantity – 3.240 bulk litres, price – Rs. 1440/- and sale amount of Rs. 300/-. Section 34(1) was registered against the accused. Excise Act action has been taken.
Illegal activities in the area are being monitored by continuously patrolling the Chowki Chichola area and taking blockade action. In case of illegal activity, it is being controlled by taking legal action.
