The mission over the last nine years has shown a positive impact on Routine Immunization coverage.
The intensified programme in 2017 also resulted in positive impact resulting to desirable outcome. However The achievement made in the past have been hindered by the Covid-19 pandemic especially those who refused Covid-19 vaccination continued to refuse the Routine Immunization also. Coupled with other existing inequities as a result of Socio-Economic status , education level, rural setting, misconceptions regarding vaccine, fear of Adverse effects following immunization etc have further contributed to the immunization gaps.
