China Rebukes US Over Maduro Capture Rejects World Judge Role

China: China has expressed deep anger over the US detention of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife. It has slammed the superpower for the recent increase in such arbitrary harassment. It has said that no country has the authority to act as the world policeman or international judge.
Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said that the current international situation is unstable. He said that the international community is paying attention to the developments in Venezuela. He said that China always opposes the use of force. He commented that one country should not force its will on another country. He said that no country has played the role of the world policeman.
Wang Yi said that it is not right to defend themselves as an international judge. He said that international laws should protect the sovereignty of countries, and world peace is possible only when the sovereignty of all countries is respected. He said that China has been the largest buyer of Venezuela’s oil for the past two decades.
