Chinese Wife learns about late husband’s 7 years of extramarital affair, recovers Rs 26 Cr from other woman
China: A Chinese Wife reportedly got to know about 7 years of extramarital affair of her late husband who had also transferred an amount of Rs 26 crore to the other woman.
After discovering her late husband’s affair, Shen, the wife of the late husband Jin, approached the court along with her 2 children.
Tao, the late husband’s other woman since 2015, was brought to the court for legal actions and was asked to return the amount that was transferred to her by his late husband and claimed that it was marital asset and was transferred to her (Tao) without knowledge of Shen.
During the initial court proceedings, everything came in the favour of Shen. The court said that Jin’s decision to transfer such a large amount of marital property was not valid and was unlawful.
It was also said that Tao had already returned Rs 7 crore to Jin when he was alive, following which the court directed to return the remaining amount which was a total of Rs 18 crore.
The court held that Jin’s extramarital affair and financial transfer had violated Shen’s legal rights as a spouse, further stated that his actions violated public morals and social ethics.
Shen and Jin got married in July 1999 and had two children, a son and a daughter. The couple remained married for over two decades until Jin passed away in May 2022.
