Chit Fund Scam: 2.6 lakh account holders to get back their invested amount

Bhubaneswar: Account holders of two chit fund companies in Odisha, Golden Land Developers Limited (GLDL) and GELP Limited, are soon going to get their invested amount back.

Two leading financial institutions, Golden Land Developers Limited (GLDL) and GELP Limited have started speedy disbursement of a staggering amount of Rs 9,258.78 crore to their account holders. The joint effort has come as a relief to thousands of depositors, as they will soon get access to their long-awaited funds.

According to the statement issued by both the organizations, this financial initiative will benefit 2,85,280 account holders who had entrusted their savings to GLDL and GELP. This substantial amount, held in both fixed and flexible assets, is destined to reach their rightful owners.

The process is currently underway, which will begin with the transfer of Rs 8,000 or more to the concerned account holders from their existing accounts. This transfer is part of ongoing efforts to ensure that the financial stability of these institutions is restored.

A dedicated team has been formed to facilitate the transfer, which will ensure that the process is smooth and efficient.
