CID notices to BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy

Huzurabad BRS MLA Padi Kaushik Reddy has been issued notices by CID officials. He has been asked to appear for questioning at the CID office in Hyderabad on April 4 in a case related to the brawl that took place at the Sammakka Sarakka Jatara on January 29. Officials revealed that these notices have been issued under Section 35(3) of the BNSS.

The police had registered a case at that time for making controversial remarks against the Karimnagar Commissioner during the scuffle that took place at the Sammakka Sarakka Jatara on January 29th. The state government recently handed over the case, Crime No. 30/2026, registered under the Huzurabad Police Station limits to the CID. In this order, the CID has started investigating the case. As part of this, it has issued a notice to Padi Kaushik Reddy.

CID officials said in the notice that a case has been registered on charges of obstructing the police on duty during the Sammakka Saralamma Jatara and disrupting traffic by gathering on the road without permission. At the same time, they said that they made objectionable comments and threatened police officers. They said that the videos related to this have gone viral on social media. In this context, Kaushik Reddy has been asked to appear for questioning on April 4 at 11.30 am for investigation of the case. They warned that they should heed the notices and cooperate with the investigation, otherwise action will be taken.
