CM Bhagwant Mann will visit the Ludhiana-Halwara Airport today.

Just days after the inauguration of the first flight to Ludhiana’s Halwara Airport, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann is scheduled to visit the airport on Wednesday.
This visit holds significance because the ruling party at the Centre—the BJP, led by Minister of State for Railways Ravneet Bittu—had claimed credit for the airport’s operationalization.
Officials from the Chief Minister’s Office stated that, following the commencement of regular flights, Mann will review the arrangements made at the airport. The provision of air connectivity has been a long-standing demand of the people of Ludhiana and its surrounding areas.
Former Minister for Industries and Power, Sanjeev Arora (who is currently under arrest), had also made significant efforts to secure approval for this airport and get it operational. In fact, even during the airport’s inauguration on February 1st, a tussle for credit erupted between the BJP and the AAP over who deserved recognition for making the facility operational.
