CM Bhupendra Patel held a review meeting regarding the preparations for the World Cup 2023 final.
Gandhinagar: State CM Bhupendra Patel held a high-level meeting on Sunday, November 19 to comprehensively review the security-sanitation-traffic management etc. during the World Cup cricket final match to be held in Ahmedabad. The Chief Minister received detailed information about the security arrangements in the context that PM Narendra Bhai Modi and the Deputy Prime Minister of Australia are also coming to the Narendra Modi Cricket Stadium to watch the final match. Took detailed information about security arrangements: CM Bhupendra Patel directed for traffic management and route diversion if necessary to ensure that there is no disruption in the movement of spectators and dignitaries coming to watch the match at Narendra Modi Stadium. He directed that an announcement should be made through the media to give prior information to the people.
The Chief Minister was also given details of the arrangements made to facilitate transportation of citizens coming to watch the match for long journeys and long services by coordinating with BRTS, Metro Rail, AMTS. Demonstration plan: The Chief Minister specifically urged that the cleanliness of Narendra Modi Stadium, bridges, main roads including religious places, tourist places etc. in Ahmedabad should be maintained and the municipal corporation machinery should pay full attention to cleanliness.
The planned air show by the Air Force’s Surya Kiran team, performances by folk singer Aditya Gadhvi and renowned musician Pritam were also discussed in the meeting before the start of the match and during the intermission. More than 4500 security personnel deployed in the arrangements: Director General of Police Vikas Sahay and Ahmedabad Police Commissioner Mallik detailed that more than 4500 security personnel would be deployed in the arrangements, which also include security arrangements to escort the Bay Cricket team to the stadium. He also informed the Chief Minister about the security of the dignitaries coming to watch the match, including Central Government Ministers and Chief Ministers of other states.
