CM Conrad Sangma responded to the allegations of Trinamool leader Mukul Sangma

Shillong (IANS). Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K has recently reacted to Trinamool Congress leader Mukul Sangma’s allegations of sharing the table with an alleged drug mafia during a gathering in Delhi.

Participating in a discussion on “menace of drugs and substance abuse” in the Assembly, Mukul Sangma had shown a photograph of alleged drug kingpin Henry with the Chief Minister at the event.

However, Conrad Sangma denied the allegations and claimed that despite the fact that many people have taken photographs with him as a leading man, it does not mean that he is associated with them.

“This is the most ridiculous way to try to prove anything in the age of social media,” he said.

Mukul Sangma said, “I have to advise the Chief Minister to avoid any kind of association with this person. He (Chief Minister) knows the history of that person, right? I wanted to know how the man managed to get a seat at the same table at such a high-profile event in Delhi. I was told that the Chief Minister’s Office had demanded this seating arrangement.”

“We need to be cautious about who we associate with. If they are traveling in the same convoy as us, if they are in the Z-plus category and if they have access to such prestigious programs,” he said. , then it is very important to fight the danger.

Responding, the Chief Minister said, “Both he and the Trinamool leader are celebrities who receive lakhs of photo requests. In my opinion, the most illogical conclusions anyone can draw are those that link the actions of two people based solely on a photo. Even if there is a program in which two people attend together or some seating arrangement is made. These things happen. Organizational committees make programs. Thousands of people sit around us. Am I involved in a police report? Mukul Sangma should not make such hasty assumptions.”
