Know about Ramesh Bais

BJP veteran from Raipur, Bais’ political career began in 1978 when he became a municipal corporation councilor. Bais gradually entered state-level politics, his first assembly election was contested in 1980 from the Mandir Hasaud constituency of the then undivided Madhya Pradesh. He won that election but lost the next election in 1985.

Known for his loyalty and commitment to the organization, he was elected to represent Raipur in the 1989 Lok Sabha elections. He then became a Lok Sabha MP for six consecutive times – in 1996, 1998, 1999, 2004, 2009 and 2014.
