Another double murder in Raigarh, mother-in-law and son-in-law brutally murdered

Raigarh. A mother-in-law and son-in-law were murdered on Dussehra in the district, while their daughter was seriously injured. The bodies of two family members were found on Thursday (October 2) in the village of Raikera. The incident occurred in the Gharghoda police station area.

The deceased include an elderly woman, Sukamet Sidar (80 years old), and her son-in-law, Laxman Sidar (60 years old). Police, who arrived at the scene after receiving information, suspect strangulation. However, the full details of the case will be revealed after a post-mortem examination.

Sukamet’s daughter is seriously injured in the incident and is undergoing treatment at Tingni Hospital. Police officers arrived at the scene and began further investigation. Currently, based on suspicion, the police have detained the deceased Laxman Sidar’s son and a neighbor and begun questioning them.
