Sharing her experience, Chaiti said that the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana has proved to be a boon for her. Recalling the difficulties of the old days, she says that living in a kutcha house was very troublesome. Various problems had to be faced according to the weather, sometimes the roof would leak and sometimes the cold would not allow sleep throughout the night. Now, after getting a permanent house, these problems have been resolved. She says with moist eyes that now I have become old, but after I am gone, my generations will also benefit from this house. The main objective of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana is to provide permanent housing to economically weaker families, so that they can live their life without any problems. Today, people living in remote areas are also getting the benefit of this scheme.
