CM Yogi praised PM Modi’s leadership

Varanasi: Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday said that under PM Modi’s leadership, we are seeing a “New India” and for the first time, the poor are on the agenda list of the government.

“Under the leadership of PM Modi, we are seeing a new India, where 140 crore Indians are living with pride and seeing world-class infrastructure in the country. We are proud of our heritage. For the first time, the poor… on the agenda list of a government”, CM Yogi said while addressing a public meeting.

He said, “People from every section of the society are getting benefits from Modiji’s guarantee vehicle without any discrimination.”
The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister is in Kashi as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s two-day visit.

He along with Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Minister of State Ravi Shankar Jaiswal reached Kashi Vishwanath Dham where they offered prayers and performed rituals after which CM Yogi left the temple.

CM Yogi was also present with PM Modi at the inauguration of Swarveda Mahamandir in Umrah and he will also be with the Prime Minister in a public meeting in Barki, Varanasi.

The administration is on alert in view of the increased VVIP movement in the city due to the presence of the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the newly constructed Swaraveda Mahamandir at Umraha in Varanasi.

Participating in the inauguration ceremony, the Prime Minister said that the wheel of time has turned for India and in a way emphasized that the time has come to move away from the mentality of slavery. The Prime Minister also said that Indians should be proud of their heritage.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi said, “The work that started from Somnath has now become a campaign.” He said that after independence it was necessary to reconstruct the old cultural symbols of India.
He said, “During the period of slavery, the dictators who tried to weaken India first targeted our symbols. After independence, reconstruction of these cultural symbols was necessary.”

He said, “Today the grandeur of Vishwanath Dham in Kashi is singing the story of India’s imperishable glory, Mahakal Mahalok is giving proof of our immortality, Kedarnath Dham is also touching new heights of development.”

“If we had respected our cultural identity then the feeling of unity and self-respect within the country would have been stronger. But unfortunately this did not happen. After independence, there was opposition to the reconstruction of Somnath temple and this thinking was opposed.” Dominated the country for decades,” he asserted.

Talking about the Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency Varanasi, also known as Kashi, he said it is the city that molded the art of India and took it to unimaginable heights.

He said, “New avenues of knowledge and research opened up from here. Unlimited possibilities related to enterprises and industries were born. Along with faith, teachings like Yoga also flourished and from here also flowed a continuous stream of human values for the entire world.”

He said, “Now Banaras means development, now Banaras means modern facilities with faith, now Banaras means cleanliness and change, Banaras today is moving forward on a unique path of development.”
The Prime Minister is on a two-day visit to Varanasi. During the visit he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various development projects costing approximately Rs. crores. 19,150 crores.

He will participate in the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Sewapuri, a rural area of his parliamentary constituency. He will also watch some live sports programs by the participants of Kashi Sansad Sports Competition 2023.

An official release had earlier said that over the last nine years, the Prime Minister has focused specifically on transforming the landscape of Varanasi and enhancing the ease of living for the people living in Varanasi and surrounding areas.
