CO arrested for coercing a woman
Bhagalpur (IANS) | In Narayanpur of Bhagalpur district of Bihar, a woman has accused the Circle Officer (CO) of coercion by calling her into the room. In this case, the police has arrested the CO. According to the police, the woman has alleged that Narayanpur CO Ajay Sarkar called her to the block development officer’s residence to reject the filing of a piece of land.
The woman alleges that after going into the room, the CO closed the door and misbehaved with her. Here, it is being told that the woman went to the bathroom and informed the police over the phone. The police reached immediately and arrested the CO from the room.
According to the police, the room in which the CO had called the woman belongs to the BDO. BDO had gone home on Sunday due to holiday. The CO had taken the key of the room from him.
DSP Headquarters Sunil Pandey told on Monday that the victim woman has been sent to the hospital for medical examination. FSL team also reached the spot and investigated closely. Bedsheets and other clothes have been seized after investigation.
Some detailed information can be given only after the report of the investigation comes. He said the accused CO has been arrested.
