Coimbatore: Girl kidnapped and murdered, anger spreads in the area
Tamil Nadu: A horrific incident has occurred near Sulur in Coimbatore district, where a 9-year-old girl playing on the street was allegedly kidnapped and brutally murdered on Friday. The incident has sparked widespread outrage in the area. Police have arrested a young man named Karthik, a resident of the area, and are interrogating him.
The incident reportedly occurred in the Bharathipuram area of the Pallapalayam Panchayat, near Sulur in Coimbatore district. Raghupati works as a laborer and lives with his family. He is survived by his wife, Pavithra, and his eldest daughter, Tarshini (9), a 5th-grade student at a local school.
According to reports, the girl was playing with other children near their home on the day of the incident. When Raghupati returned home from work in the evening, he found her missing. He then began searching for her in the surrounding area, but was unable to find her.
Meanwhile, some locals informed the family that they had seen the girl riding a two-wheeler with two unknown men on Thursday evening. This information heightened the family’s anxiety. The family immediately filed a complaint at the Sulur Police Station, stating that their daughter had been kidnapped.
After receiving the complaint, the police took the matter seriously and launched an investigation and conducted a search operation in the area. During the investigation, the police uncovered some crucial clues, leading to the detention of Karthik, a resident of the area. During interrogation, efforts are being made to gather information on various aspects of the incident.
