Collector flagged off polling vehicles
Bemetara. The second phase of voting in the three assembly constituencies of the district number 68 Saja, 69 Bemetara and 70 Navagarh will start tomorrow, Friday, November 17, at 8 am and end at 5 pm. In comparison to previous days, the activities at the administrative level regarding the assembly elections have been more intense since Wednesday in the district. Collector and District Election Officer P.S.Elma is keeping an eye on all election related activities. On Thursday, he distributed voting material to the polling parties in front of him. Voting materials were distributed from the agricultural produce market complex located at the district headquarters. The district administration and police administration are very alert and alert regarding security. Security arrangements have been tightened.
The distribution of assembly wise election material started from 7 am today. Which continued till approximately twelve o’clock in the afternoon. 39 tables were set up for this. Three officers and employees distributed the material on a table. EVM and VVPAD employees were deployed separately from the same strong room. More than 3500 officers and employees have been put on duty to complete the entire voting work. Additional staff is included separately. 02 Collector and District Election Officer P.S. Elma flagged off the first batch of polling team from Navagarh assembly constituency. On this occasion, Additional Collector and Nodal (Election) Dr. Anil Bajpayee, SDM and Returning Officer Bhupendra Joshi, Deputy District Election Officer Umanshankar Bande and district administration officials were present. After this, the polling parties and material of Bemetara and Saja were sent by vehicle by road under tight security arrangements. All the polling parties are safe and secure and have reached their respective polling stations. GPS system has been installed in vehicles.
It is known that there are a total of 867 polling stations in Bemetara district for all three assembly constituencies of the district. In which there are 744 polling stations in Bemetara district. There are 101 polling stations in Saja assembly and 22 polling stations in Bemetara, thus a total of 123 polling stations are located in Dhamdha tehsil of Durg district. Three auxiliary polling stations have also been made in the district. There are 62 polling stations in urban and 682 rural areas in the district.
There are 7 lakh 64 thousand 614 voters in 867 polling stations of the three assemblies of the district. Talking about 744 polling stations of Bemetara district, 6 lakh 59 thousand 653 voters will exercise their franchise tomorrow on Friday, 17th November. Of these, there are 3 lakh 31 thousand 690 male and 3 lakh 27 thousand 959 female voters in the district. In which 81744 voters will cast their votes in 201 polling stations of Saja, 114239 in 245 polling stations of Bemetara and 115168 voters will cast their votes in 298 polling stations of Navagarh Assembly. 46 candidates are in the fray in all three assemblies of the district.
