Collector ordered investigation against forest officer, 30 crore payment case
Gorela-Pendra-Marwahi. The Collector has ordered the District Mineral Officer to investigate the complaint of payment of about 30 crores without deducting royalty amount in Marwahi Forest Division.
Congress committee officials had complained to the collector in this regard and told that the then DFO and now retired Rakesh Kumar Mishra and his accountant paid Rs 30 crore to the supplier Sahil Enterprises Bilaspur. In the year 2020-21, 101 NICTs were made from the Tampa item. In this, the supplier had to deposit royalty of Rs 3.50 crore, which was to be paid after deduction from the bill. Full payment was made to the supplier without taking royalty amount. In this way the government was harmed.
