Jagatsinghpur: The principal of a degree college in Odisha’s Jagatsinghpur district has been arrested by the police on allegations of misconduct towards female faculty members and other staff. Acting on the matter, the Raghunathpur police detained Dayanidhi Rautray, the principal of Swami Arupananda Degree College, and produced him before a local court after recording the statements of the complainants.
According to the police, the investigation was initiated following complaints lodged by female faculty members and staff of the college. The complaints alleged inappropriate behavior at the workplace and misconduct towards female employees by the principal. Taking the complaints seriously, the police took action against the accused principal following a preliminary inquiry.
