Surajpur: In Vishrampur of Surajpur district of Chhattisgarh, thugs made a girl engineer a victim of online fraud and cheated her of Rs 16 lakh. The girl fell prey to cyber thugs while playing online games and lost Rs 16 lakh. It was only when the thugs asked the girl for Rs 7 lakh more that she realized she had been cheated. On the report of the girl, Bishrampur police has registered a case against unknown accused under section 420.
According to the information received, the girl living in Shivanandanpur of Vishrampur is a computer engineer by profession. The girl got married six months ago in Visakhapatnam. A few days ago she had come to her maternal home in Vishrampur. In the complaint given to the police, the girl said that on September 6, a message from Football Digital Media came on her mobile number through the WhatsApp number of an unknown person and it was told that on following the link of WhatsApp, she will get Rs 50 per link. .
After being lured by the accused, on September 8, when he received a message on his Telegram ID about starting the task, he again participated in the online game. In this, after completing 14 tasks, 13 Instagram link follow tasks and one merchant prepaid task, Google Pay and online game task, the accused got Rs 16 lakh 33 thousand transferred from the girl’s account through mobile banking.
