Congress candidate Nidhi Jain will contest against her brother-in-law Shailendra Jain in Sagar
Sagar (ANI): With the release of the second list late on Thursday night, the Congress party has now announced all its eight candidates for the eight assembly seats of the district. Out of these eight seats, the Congress Party has fielded four women candidates. Ahead of the assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, Sagar assembly constituency has attracted people’s attention after the announcement of the second list of Congress candidates as the Congress candidate will contest against her brother-in-law (husband’s elder). Brother) from the seat.
The Congress party has fielded Nidhi Jain from Sagar seat against her brother-in-law and three-time Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Shailendra Jain. Congress candidate Nidhi Jain is the wife of Sunil Jain, who is the younger brother of BJP candidate Shailendra Jain.
Earlier, during the municipal elections held last year, Congress had given mayor ticket to Nidhi Jain, but she lost the election to BJP by about 12 thousand votes.
During this, Shailendra Jain said, “You must have seen our stand in the last civic elections that even at that time one person from the family had contested the elections and we have always followed Rajdharma. We have considered Bharatiya Janata Party as our mother.” Therefore, we cannot play any trick on the mother, there will be complete justice and every worker is authorized to protect the honor and dignity of the party and the elections will be fought with full force.”
He said that as far as familyism is concerned, we will move away from all these things and follow Rajdharma.
Whereas Nidhi Jain said that this fight is between Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress. This is not a fight over our differences of opinion.
“This is a fight between the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Congress. This is a battle of opposite ideas, not a battle of our differences of opinion. There is no difference of opinion (manbhed) among us, but there is a difference of opinion (difference) among us.” He said, “The people of BJP are taking forward the principles of BJP and we are taking forward the ideology of our party.”
At the same time, the Congress party has fielded two other women candidates against two senior BJP leaders and powerful ministers.
Congress has fielded two-time Zilla Panchayat member Engineer Jyoti Patel from Rehli assembly constituency against senior BJP leader and state PWD minister Gopal Bhargava, who is contesting the elections for the ninth time.
It is noteworthy that according to political commentators, Kurmi community has a big vote bank in Rehali assembly constituency and Jyoti Patel comes from the same community, keeping in view the Congress has given her this responsibility.
Another woman Congress candidate Raksha Rajput has been fielded from Khurai constituency against senior BJP leader and state urban development and housing minister Bhupendra Singh.
Apart from this, another woman Congress candidate Nirmala Sapre has been fielded from Bina (Scheduled Caste reserved) seat of the district. BJP has not yet announced its candidate for this seat.
So far, with the release of the second list of Congress candidates, the party has now announced 229 names out of 230 assembly seats in the state. Whereas BJP has announced only 136 seats in its four lists of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections.
Assembly elections are to be held in Madhya Pradesh on November 17 and counting of votes will take place on December 3. (ANI)
