Congress Diversion Dramas, BRS Protest Rallies in Zaheerabad
Zaheerabad MLA Koninti Manikrao has criticized the Congress party for playing diversionary dramas to divert the attention of the people of the state by saying phone tapping cases, investigation into Kaleshwaram, and investigation into the formula race whenever BRS is questioned. He accused the party of engaging in political partisanship in the name of phone tapping investigation when the coal scam worth hundreds of crores of rupees in Singareni came to light.
On the call of BRS Working President KTR, a protest rally was held in Zaheerabad town on Sunday, wearing black scarves against the government, through the main streets. Later, a dharna was held in the bus stand premises. Speaking on the occasion, MLA Manik Rao said that it is not right to harass KCR, who has led the state on the path of progress, in the name of notices and to engage in partisan activities. While CM Revanth Reddy, who came to power with false promises, is trying to cause trouble by filing unnecessary cases against KCR, he said that people are watching everything and it is certain that the people will teach the Hastam party a befitting lesson in the upcoming elections.
The activists refused to comply when the police asked them to end their agitation due to the traffic jam caused by the BRS leaders’ dharna. As a tense situation arose, MLA Manik Rao and several other key leaders were arrested and taken to the police station. Also, in the mandal headquarters of Nyalkal and Mogudampalli villages, the BRS party organized huge rallies and held dharnas raising slogans against the government. They burned effigies of CM Revanth Reddy to protest the harassment of KCR in the phone tapping case.
