Conspiracy to derail train
Vadodara: Like Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country, now a case of conspiracy to derail a train has come to light in Gujarat as well. However, it was fortunate that due to the alertness of the railway staff, any major accident was averted.
Western Railway, Vadodara Division released a video of this on Saturday and said that an unknown person opened the fish plate and some keys from the UP line track near Kim railway station and placed it on the same track, after which the movement of the train was stopped. However, soon the train service started on the line.
According to the Bhasha report, just two days ago in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, miscreants had placed an old six-meter long iron pole used for laying telephone wires on the railway track. However, the accident was averted when the driver of the Dehradun Express train applied emergency brakes. Railway officials said that the incident took place near Rudrapur City Railway Station, about 43 km from Rampur. On the complaint of Rudrapur City Section Railway Engineer Rajendra Kumar, a case has been registered against an unknown person in the Government Railway Police Station of Rampur.
In a similar incident in Farrukhabad on August 24, a thick piece of wood was placed on the rail track near Bhatasa railway station on the Kasganj-Farrukhabad railway track, due to which a passenger train was stopped due to collision.
In view of such incidents coming to light every day, along with the railway staff, Government Railway Police (GRP), Railway Protection Force (RPF) and local police are also being very vigilant.
