Constable’s wife committed suicide by hanging, sensation spread

Purnia. The body of a constable’s wife was found hanging from a noose on Monday from the official residence of Police Lines in Purnia district of Bihar. The police is investigating the entire matter. According to the police, Rajeev Kumar, posted in Purnia Police Force, lives in the government residence of Police Lines. On Monday, the body of his wife Poonam Kumari was found hanging from the ceiling fan. The deceased’s husband Rajeev Kumar is currently posted in Purnia Central Jail. It is said that the deceased was married 5 years ago.

She has two children aged three years and one and a half years. At present the deceased’s husband is not saying anything about the reason for the incident. It is being told that when the husband reached his home, he saw the hanging body of his wife. He immediately brought his wife down and hurriedly took her to the hospital, where she was declared dead by the doctor. Purnia Headquarters Deputy Superintendent of Police Pankaj Kumar said that the body has been sent to the hospital for post-mortem. The cause of death will be known only after the post mortem report comes. At present the police are prima facie calling it a suicide. However, the police are saying that the correct information will be available only after investigation.
