Tata Motors’ ₹9,000 crore car factory in Pennapakkam: CM to inaugurate it today.

Tamil Nadu: Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will inaugurate the Tata Motors car manufacturing plant, built at a cost of Rs 9,000 crore, at the Panapakkam SIPCOT Industrial Estate on Monday (February 9).
A press release issued by the Ranipet district administration stated: On September 28, 2024, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin laid the foundation stone for the Tata Motors vehicle manufacturing plant at the SIPCOT Panapakkam Industrial Estate in Ranipet district, representing an investment of Rs 9,000 crore and creating 5,000 jobs, on behalf of the Tamil Nadu Department of Industries, Investment Promotion and Commerce.
Following the completion of the initial construction work, Chief Minister M.K. Stalin will inaugurate the Tata factory and flag off the first vehicle produced there on Monday (February 9) at 11:00 AM.
Handlooms and Textiles Minister R. Gandhi, Industries Minister D.R.P. Raja, MPs, and MLAs are expected to attend the event.
1,500 Police Personnel on Security Duty
The district police department has stated that 1,500 police personnel, under the leadership of Ranipet District Superintendent of Police Ayman Jamal, will be deployed for the Chief Minister’s visit.
