Country-made bombs found in Kulathoor market in Thiruvananthapuram

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Five country-made bombs were found in the Kulathoor market in Kazhakoottam. It was the locals who found the bombs which were kept in a plastic cover in the market this morning. Following this, they informed the Kazhakoottam police. The Kazhakoottam police and the Bomb Detection Squad shifted the bombs to Kazhakootam station to defuse them.

The police are examining the CCTV footage to find the person who kept the bombs in the market. Kulathoor junction is an area that witnessed several political violence. The police have intensified the investigation.Meanwhile, an investigation is in progress into the incident where an elderly man died after a steel bomb exploded in Thalassery the other day. The deceased is Eranholi native Velayudhan (85). The explosion took place at around 1 pm yesterday.
