Couple ended their lives…Son wanted to marry a transgender
Nandyal: A shocking case has come to light from Nandyal district of Andhra Pradesh. Where a middle-aged couple committed suicide. The middle-aged couple took such a step because their 24-year-old son had expressed his desire to marry a transgender. An official gave this information to a news agency.
According to Nandyal Sub-Divisional Police Officer P Srinivas Reddy, Subba Rayudu (45) and Saraswati (38) committed suicide. Because there was a conflict going on for the last three years regarding son Sunil Kumar’s joining the local transgender community. The couple was also angry about this.
Kumar has been in a relationship with a transgender person for three years and he was adamant on not marrying a woman. Also, he insisted on living with the transgender person. Due to which there was often a quarrel with his parents. Police said on Thursday that Kumar had earlier also attempted suicide over this matter.
It has also come to light during the investigation that Kumar had spent Rs 1.5 lakh of the transgenders. Due to which the transgenders had demanded this amount from his parents. There was also a ruckus regarding this. Apart from this, his parents were also publicly humiliated by the members of the transgender community. Shocked by this, both of them committed suicide.
