A debate was scheduled in the court on 18 November and its decision was to come on 16 December. Petitioner’s advocate Santosh Pandey said that on November 18, MP/MLA Court Judge Yogesh Yadav had heard the summons. After completion of the arguments, the court reserved its verdict and fixed the date as November 27. Judge Yogesh Yadav had summoned Rahul Gandhi on December 16 while delivering the verdict. But Rahul Gandhi did not appear before the court today.
The petition was filed in the year 2018 and it took five years to complete the hearing. The petition was filed in August 2018. Let us tell you that Vijay Mishra, former chairman of the cooperative bank, resident of Hanumanganj of Kotwali Dehat police station area, had filed a defamation suit against Rahul Gandhi on August 4, 2018. It is alleged that in a video footage, indecent remarks were made against former BJP President and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
