CPM district committee criticizes Mayor Arya Rajendran and MLA Sachin Dev over Mayor-driver issue
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM district committee has criticized Mayor Arya Rajendran and MLA Sachin Dev, pointing to their recent conduct and subsequent developments. The criticism was sparked by a verbal altercation with a KSRTC driver.
The committee noted that the mayor’s demeanor was full of arrogance, causing contempt among the public. It was stated that Sachin Dev’s anger would have been evident if the memory card of the incident had been found. Neither of them showed maturity in handling the situation, and the mayor and her family’s actions in the middle of the street were labeled as hooliganism.Additionally, questions were raised about the Chief Minister’s office. It was mentioned that even party workers are not allowed in the Chief Minister’s office, whereas earlier, party leaders could meet the Chief Minister. Criticism was also directed at the fact that people are not allowed to meet the Chief Minister after three o’clock.The district committee members also criticized AN Shamsir’s business dealings, which were deemed inconsistent with the party’s style. Shamsir was noted to be in contact with a person associated with Amit Shah’s son. When comrades, who had no connection to the party, approached him, he refused to even purchase the Deshabhimani newspaper. The leaders also criticized Shamsir’s relationship with people.
