CPM state committee: Government should give priority to resolve Sadas’ petition

Thiruvananthapuram: The CPM state committee meeting held on Saturday asked the government to seriously follow up on the complaints received at the recently concluded Nava Kerala Sabha across the state.

The government should give utmost importance to the petitions. He said that the government should carefully look into the more than six lakh petitions and find solutions to them. The Committee was informed that courts would be held in 14 districts to take follow-up measures. The minister in-charge of the district and an IAS officer will attend the court. There will also be an appeal system to find solutions for those petitions that could not be resolved in the courts.

The committee also praised the government and the CM for the success of the program. The members observed that the ‘Vicharana Sabha’ organized by the Congress against the government was a failure as the event failed to attract people’s attention.

“The public does not take the allegations made by the opposition seriously. The program did not receive adequate media attention,” the members said. While the opposition has made serious allegations over the Corporate Affairs Ministry’s decision to probe the affairs of Xlogic Solutions owned by the CM’s daughter, the issue did not come up for discussion in the state committee. The party considers this to be part of a larger attempt by the BJP government to defame opposition leaders. “Exalogic no longer exists,” a member of the secretariat told TNIE.

“As per the Companies Act, they could only investigate whether it violated the provisions of the Act. If this happens then they can take action. However, that did not happen.” The leader said. The committee also ignored the controversy over writer MT Vasudevan Nair’s speech at the inaugural session of the literary festival.
