CRPF constable martyred, injured in UBGL blast

Bijapur. CRPF constable Devendra Kumar was martyred in Bijapur. He had left for area domination from Usoor police station area security camp Galgam. During this time, he was injured due to the explosion of UBGL cell. He was taken to Jagdalpur Medical College by air ambulance, where he died during treatment. 32-year-old Devendra Kumar was a CRPF 196th Corps soldier and was a resident of Dhobiguda in Bastar.

His last rites will be held in his home village on Saturday. IED blast, one more soldier injured – IED blast took place in Chihka of Bhairamgarh police station area of Bijapur. In this, Assistant Commandant Manu HC of CRPF-62/E, who was out on area domination, got injured in his left leg and left hand. CRPF jawans had gone out for area domination in the vicinity of Chihka polling booth.
