CRS inspected Sangaldan-Sumber-Khari railway stations
A two-day inspection by the Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) at the new Sangaldan-Sumber-Khari railway stations between Katra and Banihal section of the USBRL project concluded here this evening.
CRS and his team today tested the first high-speed train on the Sangaldan-Sumber and Khari rail line between Katra and Banihal section of the USBRL project, official sources said.
He said: “A high-speed train ran for trials on the Sangaldan-Sumber-Khari rail line and before its commencement, Commissioner of Railway Safety, Dinesh Chand Deshwal inspected the track, traction, telecom, signalling, platform and railway station at Khari. Checked the infrastructure. , Sumber and Sangaldan stations.
Later Deshwal and other railway officials returned to Srinagar.
The Sangaldan to Banihal section of the USBRL project is likely to be commissioned after the CRS submits its inspection report to the government when it reaches New Delhi on Saturday, sources said.
