Dalit girl’s body found in a well in Rajasthan, MP Kirori Lal Meena’s protest
Jaipur (IANS). Rajya Sabha MP Kirori Lal Meena on Friday staged a protest along with the family members of a Dalit girl found dead in a well in Rajasthan’s Karauli district.
Meena reached the police station on Thursday and demanded a compensation of Rs 50 lakh for the family of the deceased.
He also accused the police of tampering with the facts and demanded re-postmortem along with videography of the process.
Meena said, “The girl was abducted from the house and raped. Two bullets were found on her body. Also, acid was poured on her face by the assailants when burn marks were found. Administration in the incident Trying to manipulate.”
SP Mamta Gupta of Karauli district has confirmed that there was a bullet injury on the girl’s body.
Rajsamand MP Diya Kumari and Bharatpur MP Ranjita Koli reached the house of the deceased on Friday and met the family members.
Kumari accused the administration of being negligent on the issue and demanded swift and strict action against the accused.
Significantly, the body of a 20-year-old Dalit girl was pulled out of a well in Karauli district on Thursday.
The police initially ruled it a “suicide” and conducted an autopsy.
But the girl’s family alleged that she was abducted, raped and shot dead.
Unhappy with the post-mortem report, they also staged a protest, in which Meena also joined this morning.
