David Warner broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record
Chennai. Australian opening batsman David Warner has become the fastest player to score 1,000 runs in ODI World Cup history. Playing against India on Sunday, Warner left behind Sachin Tendulkar and AB de Villiers’ record of 20 innings and achieved this feat in 19 innings.
Known for his aggressive batting style, Warner has consistently performed brilliantly, making him one of the most famous players in the cricket world.
However, Indian captain Rohit Sharma is also close to this record. He needs only 22 runs to achieve this feat.
He has scored 978 runs in 17 ODI innings and when Rohit comes to open for India in the second innings, he can make this record in his name.(IANS)
