Dead bodies of three missing children found in closed SUV

Nagpur (IANS) | There has been a stir in Nagpur after the bodies of three minor children were found. According to information, these minors were missing from Farooq Nagar area of the city since June 17. The police gave this information on Monday. According to the police, the children have been identified as Afreen Khan (6), her cousin Aaliya Khan (6) and Taufiq Khan (4), who had gone to play outside their house after lunch on Saturday afternoon.

It is being told that an abandoned SUV car was parked nearby, the children entered it to play, but for some reason the doors of the Ford EcoSport car got closed automatically.

About 30 hours after the incident, a local woman complained of foul smell. After the complaint, the local people and the police team reached the spot to check the SUV. The bodies of the three children were recovered by the police from the car.

According to the police, the children fought desperately to save their lives. The dusty windshield of the vehicle bore the fingerprints of children. At present, the bodies have been taken out of the SUV.

The bodies of the children have been sent to Mayo Hospital for post-mortem. The police have videographed the entire incident.

The car, which reportedly belonged to a local from Nagpur, was parked outside a powerloom workshop by a nearby garage mechanic.

Let us tell you that after the missing complaint lodged at Panchpoli police station, different teams of about 200 personnel scanned the CCTV footage, conducted door-to-door searches in the neighborhood and a dog squad also went there, but the children were not found. failed to track.

Locals said that the cars are usually left unlocked, and children often play inside, but this time the children may have inadvertently locked it and got trapped.

An official of the Panchpoli police station told IANS that the post-mortem report stated the cause of death of the three children as suffocation due to extreme heat.

In further investigation viscera has been preserved for tests, final autopsy report is awaited and police have registered accidental death report.

Top officials headed by Nagpur Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar, Deputy Commissioner of Police M. Sudarshan (Crime) and DCP Gorakh Bhamre (Zonal) are probing the case.

The victim’s family hails from Uttar Pradesh and has been working in Nagpur for the last few years and living in rented accommodation.
