Dead body found in pond near liquor shop

Durg: A 48-year-old youth died due to drowning in a pond in Bhilai Teen police station area. The young man had consumed excessive amount of alcohol and fell into the pond in an intoxicated state. He died due to drowning in water. When his family found his body floating in the pond on Thursday morning, they informed the police. Old Bhilai Police has sent the body to the PM.

According to the information received from the old Bhilai police, they had received information on Thursday morning that someone’s body was floating in the pond located near the fine liquor shop. Police reached the spot and took the body out of the water. By then the relatives of the deceased had also reached there. They identified him as Vikram Sahu resident of Jarwae. The young man running a paan stall near the liquor distillery told that Vikram Sahu had come to the liquor distillery on Wednesday evening. He sat there drinking heavily and fell asleep there. He was so drunk that he could not walk. The water was also raining very fast. He went towards the pond to escape from the dirty water. After this no one saw him.
