Dead fish found floating in Kundalahalli lake

Bengaluru: Hundreds of dead fish were found floating in Kundalahalli lake in east Bengaluru on Sunday morning. A person taking a morning walk saw it and alerted the authorities.

“I was shocked to see the large number of dead in the lake. Others said dead fish were floating even on Saturday. Priyavatsan Iyengar said, I lodged an online complaint with the lakes department through BBMP’s Smart Bengaluru app.

Priyavatsan later got the contact number of a Lake Department official.

“The official said that due to the construction of a storm water drain nearby, sewage was released into the lake. He said steps have been taken to prevent sewage from entering the lake.
