Death looms near the hand pump, what should the villagers do

Pendra. A worrying picture has emerged from Jogisar Gram Panchayat in the district, where the construction of National Highway 45 has become a disaster rather than a boon for the people. According to villagers, a hand pump in Jogisar now stands in the middle of the road, inviting accidents.
This hand pump was previously located on the side of the road, but after the widening of National Highway 45, it has now been placed right in the middle of a road frequented by speeding vehicles. To quench their thirst, people are forced to stand in the middle of the road with buckets, and even the slightest mistake can prove fatal.
Local residents said, “Sir, quench our thirst or save our lives? Speeding vehicles honk, and we fear being hit. The new borehole was unsuccessful, and this is the only option left.” This picture in Jogisar raises serious questions about the system’s negligence. Villagers say that the National Highway Authority and the administration should not wait for a major accident and should take immediate action to address this danger.
