Gaza: The Palestinian Health Ministry said on Tuesday that the death toll in the besieged Gaza Strip has risen to 25,490 amid ongoing fighting between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry said in a statement that at least 195 Palestinians were killed and 354 others were injured in the past 24 hours, Xinhua news agency reported.
“Many victims are still under the debris, and ambulances and civil protection teams cannot reach them,” the ministry said.
On Monday, Israeli forces stepped up their attack on the southern town of Khan Yunis, attacking medical centers and killing dozens of Palestinians, making it the deadliest fighting in the region so far.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces suffered their deadliest single attack on Monday, killing 21 soldiers in Gaza.
