Defense Ministry official’s mobile stolen, fraudster withdrawing money from bank account
UP: In Noida, thieves have stolen the mobile of a Defense Ministry official and made lakhs of rupees disappear from his bank account. A complaint has been lodged in this matter at the Expressway police station in Noida. After receiving the complaint, the police started investigating the matter. The police of the cyber police station is investigating the matter of withdrawing money from the bank after the mobile was stolen. According to the police, Colonel Ashish Kumar Dwivedi (Director) is working in the Ministry of Defense, Sena Bhawan. He lives in a duplex villa in Sector-135 area of Noida.
He told the police that on the night of July 6, between 9.45 and 10 pm, he was buying vegetables in Saturday Bazar in his area Wajidpur. During this time his phone was stolen. The next day he went to the police station and lodged a complaint of phone theft. After this, on July 8, when he downloaded his bank’s app on the new phone and checked the balance, he was shocked.
He told that while checking the balance, he saw that Rs 79,900 was missing from his SBI bank account and Rs 34,000 from his PNB bank account. After this, he went to the Expressway police station and informed the police. After which a case was registered in cyber crime. At present, the police is investigating the matter and is also trying to find out how this fraud was done.
