Delhi Police caught two drug suppliers from Odisha
New Delhi (IANS). The North East District Police in Delhi on Sunday said that it has arrested two bulk suppliers of narcotics from Odisha, who were supplying drugs to the NCR.
The police have already arrested their gang members.
DCP, North East, Joy Tirkey said that the accused have been identified as Dasharathi Khara and Gopi Zala.
An FIR was registered against him under Section 20, 25, 29 of the NDPS Act at Police Station Jyoti Nagar.
“Both the accused were wanted in the case in which 116.95 kg of ganja was recovered from the possession of three accused Priyank Gandhi, Shatrughan Kumar and Sunil Kumar in their Swift car at Jyoti Nagar in April.
Later more gang members were caught. On sustained interrogation, the accused disclosed the source of their bulk suppliers who were hiding in Koraput, Odisha.
“During investigation, it emerged that Dasharathi Khara is a habitual offender and was earlier arrested by Ghaziabad police with 650 kg of ganja. Further efforts are on to nab his associates at the earliest,” the officer said.
