Delhi Police Special Cell gets remand of accused in Parliament security violation case

New Delhi: While opposition members created ruckus in both Houses of Parliament on Wednesday over massive security breach, Delhi Police on Thursday claimed a “well-planned conspiracy” behind the incident.

While Delhi Police moved the Patiala House Court seeking 15-day remand for the four accused persons in the security breach case, 7-day remand was later granted to the Special Cell.

Meanwhile, terming the security breach the result of a “planned conspiracy”, Delhi Police said it was an “attack on the Parliament of India”.

The four accused persons – Neelam, Amol, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan – were produced in the Patiala House Court, while the Delhi Police filed the remand petition.
Sharing details of the incident, in which two unidentified persons jumped into the Lok Sabha from the audience gallery during Zero Hour and blew up smoke cans hidden in their shoes, Delhi Police in an official release said, “All the accused had come in yesterday as visitors. Jumped from the Parliament gallery while using the pass, resulting in disruption of Parliament proceedings.”

The police said in their argument that the accused need to be taken to Lucknow, Mumbai and Mysore for custodial interrogation.

Meanwhile, police sources on Thursday said that the four people arrested in connection with the security breach in Parliament have taken general responsibility for the incident, adding that they are giving “memorised answers” to the Delhi Police Special Cell investigation team in the case. “Were giving.

Earlier, Lalit Jha, an absconding accused in the Parliament security breach case, was accused of being the mastermind of the entire conspiracy. Police said that after Lalit Jha is caught they will be able to throw more light on the conspiracy.

Earlier, the Lok Sabha Secretariat on Thursday suspended eight security personnel over the security lapse that led to the major security lapse at the new Parliament House on Wednesday. The security breach occurred on the 22nd anniversary of the 2001 terrorist attack on Parliament.

Two men, Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D, jumped from the public gallery into the Lok Sabha chamber during Zero Hour, released yellow gas from canisters and raised slogans before being restrained by some MPs.

A case was registered against the accused under several relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in connection with the incident.

Case under sections 120-B (criminal conspiracy), 452 (trespass), section 153 (incitement merely with intent to cause riot), 186 (obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions), 353 (assault or criminal force) Has been recorded. An IPC case was also registered for preventing public servants from discharging their duty.

Four people have been arrested so far in connection with the case, while police said two more people are being interrogated, one of whom has been identified as Vicky and his wife.
