Delhi Police started action against jailed gangsters
New Delhi: Taking a significant step against the increasing criminal activities from behind the bars, Dwarka District Police has launched a major operation against notorious gangsters lodged in various jails.
The operation directed by Dwarka DCP Harsh Vardhan involved taking several prominent criminals including Kala Jathedi, Neeraj Bawania, Naveen Bali and Raju Basodi to the preventive police jail.
Neeraj Bawaniya originates from Bawaniya village of Delhi, hence this name is associated with his name. Neeraj is involved in cases ranging from murder, robbery, dacoity and extortion to threatening and instigating people.
The measure was formulated after careful examination of cases of extortion, coercive policing, street crime and collaboration between gangsters within various prison facilities.
Dwarka DCP Harsh Vardhan told ANI that Kala Jathedi, known to be involved in various criminal activities, was kept in preventive custody in Mandoli jail.
“Kala Jathedi was kept in preventive custody in Mandoli Ayer jail, and other gangsters are also kept in preventive custody in various jails,” he said.
Notably, after the murder of Sagar Dhankad, there was a conflict between Kala Jathedi and Neeraj Bawaniya, which led the police to take action against both with the aim of dismantling their separate groups and curbing their influence in carrying out criminal incidents.
