Dhami government unveils a host of schemes.

Dehradun. On Tuesday, the Pushkar Singh Dhami government of Uttarakhand took several significant decisions aimed at the state’s development, employment generation, transparency, and economic strengthening. The government approved 18 key decisions simultaneously, which are expected to directly impact various sectors concerning the youth, farmers, rural areas, and the general public.
These cabinet decisions cover several important areas, such as establishing an employment cell for ‘Agniveers’, creating digital records for urban land, procuring necessary medical equipment, boosting power generation, and strengthening the cooperative system in villages.
The government states that the objective of these decisions is to increase employment opportunities in the state, bring transparency to government systems, and accelerate development works. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami remarked that the state government is continuously making decisions with the interests of the youth, the rural economy, and ordinary citizens in mind.
Initiative for an Employment Cell for Agniveers
A key decision taken by the cabinet is the creation of an employment cell for Agniveers. This system is being designed to provide better employment opportunities to Agniveers returning after completing their service in the Army. The government believes that the potential of these youths, who have received military training, can be utilized across various sectors.
Through this employment cell, Agniveers will be informed about job opportunities available in both the private and public sectors. There are also plans to provide them with skill development and career guidance.
Digital Records for Urban Land
The government has also taken a significant step towards digitizing land-related records in urban areas. The creation of digital records is expected to reduce land-related disputes and provide a transparent system for the public.
With urban land documents available online, the general public will need to make fewer visits to government offices. Additionally, the process of verifying records and handling land-related matters will be simplified.
Decision to Strengthen Health Services
The cabinet has also taken several important decisions regarding the health sector. Approval has been granted for the procurement of necessary medical equipment for hospitals across the state. The government’s aim is to ensure that patients can access better medical facilities locally. Increased availability of medical equipment will strengthen the capacity of government hospitals and reduce people’s reliance on major cities for medical treatment.
Emphasis on Boosting Power Generation
The government has also decided to take significant steps regarding the energy sector. Emphasis will be placed on increasing power generation capacity and optimizing the use of energy resources within the state.
Uttarakhand holds great potential for hydroelectric power generation. The government aims to strengthen the state’s energy sector by making better use of available resources.
Strengthening the Cooperative System in Villages
The Cabinet has also decided to strengthen the cooperative system in rural areas. The government believes that economic activities in villages can be boosted through cooperative institutions.
This is expected to create employment and self-employment opportunities for farmers, small traders, and rural youth. Strengthening the cooperative sector is part of the plan to accelerate the rural economy.
Chief Minister Dhami stated that the government’s goal is to make Uttarakhand a self-reliant and developed state. Continuous efforts are being made in areas such as employment, technology, transparency, and infrastructure to achieve this.
These 18 decisions by the government are considered significant milestones in the state’s development journey. While decisions related to employment are expected to benefit the youth, measures involving digital systems and economic reforms aim to streamline administrative processes.
The state government has affirmed that it will continue to make such decisions in the future, prioritizing public interest and development. The implementation of these decisions is expected to bring about positive changes in sectors such as employment, healthcare, energy, and rural development in Uttarakhand.
